The messsage I had posted last week is no longer on the board - wonder why??
Has any one tried viviscal? and If so what were your results? How long did you take it?
Thank you

I have a good friend that has been taking it for a little over 8 months now. She started taking it after reading an article about it in Cosmo, and doing a little research on the web, to help a bad haircut grow out faster. I can tell you it has worked very well in her case, her hair is in terrific condition and it does grow faster. We started noticing a change in a matter of a few weeks. After about 5 months, she cut the dosage in half (the directions say "6 months or until desired results are achieved") and she is still getting very good results. Since she is the only one I know that is taking it, I can`t say it will work for everyone but it certainly made a big difference in her hair.

I`m trying it!! I figure I can swing it for six months "just in case". Got it for around $300, some people spend almost that much getting their hair "done".
I will report every couple of weeks. So far it`s been two - and after week one I colored my hair so the roots should be an excellent measurement.
The main thing I notice right now is that it appears that my skin is considerably better...wags

I should have my order in this Monday. I`m going to measure my hair Monday and then keep track to see if I get any growth.
I`ve been visiting Longhairlovers.com and getting allot of good advice (haven`t found a more excellant site). My hair has been at my waist since I was a little girl, but it has never in as good shape as it is now.
You are welcome to e-mail me personally and we`ll keep each other posted on results....
Thank you for responding

Dear Miracle,
None of your posts were removed by anyone at HairBoutique.com. We did upgrade the boards with new software and some posts have been moved but your post about Viviscal was not one of them.
Best wishes, Karen Shelton
PS. I have Jeff checking if your post got displaced due to the board upgrade. At any rate, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Karen, have you tried Viviscal? I know you took H37 for over 2 years w/ great results and now you are taking your new product. I am just curious what you think of the product? Appreciate your ongoing honesty about this.

Yes, I tried Viviscal at the same time I started taking H37 a couple of years ago. I felt that it was an OK product and respected the fact that some people really got good results, but I also felt that it was priced too high for me for the value proposition.
The folks at Viviscal asked us repeatedly to carry the product at HairBoutique.com but I just felt it was too expensive and not really better than H37 or several of the other vitamins on the marketplace (and there are several good ones to choose from).
That is definitely my own judgment but I know from experience and from emails that I receive that people trust me to tell them what I think. I have always thought that while Viviscal might be a great product for some people, it was too pricey for our typical visitor.
I did take H37 for over 2 years and I did log some very good results. I also took EFA w/ the H37 and so I was very pleased with how the product worked for my hair.
Don`t get me wrong. I am not opposed to Viviscal. If you type in Viviscal in the HairBoutique.com search fields you will find articles & evaluations from testers of the Viviscal product. Some had really good results. Some didn`t. We published the pros and cons on the product because we do try to give as much info as possible whether we agree or not.
Like everything else there are lots of options in the hair care world from vitamins to shampoo and I think everyone should follow their best interests. Some people are not concerned about cost but some are. I try to find the best product that works for me for the best value.
I also try to follow that philosophy with the things that we sell in the store. Even though I love some of the Philip B products, they are very pricey and so we don`t carry them for that reason. I just think $52 is out of reach for people for a conditioner. No matter how fabulous it is. :-) Same is true with Viviscal.
I definitely keep an open mind and if Viviscal were less costly and I felt worked better than H37 or our new HairTopia vitamins then I would carry it as well.
Hope that answers the question.
Best wishes, Karen

Thanks Karen,
As always you said it so well. I appreciate the insight. I also hope that people trying the Viviscal will post their progress since I am considering taking either Viviscal, H37 or your new Hairtopia.
