My mom told me that if I go out with a wet head in the middle of winter that I can freeze my hair. Come on, is that for real? Has that happened to anyone?

Well, yes & no. It is not a good idea to go out with a wet head for several reasons. Water freezes. If it is cold enough for water to freeze & your hair is wet, the water on your hair can freeze, sometimes resulting in your hair appearing to freeze. If you hair is wet enough & it is cold enough your hair with some times "clump together" frozen together from the water. Also, sometimes it will cause headaches, because of the cold, so it is not a good idea. Also the length of the hair will have some influence on this as well, although exactly how, I`m not sure. While, I personally, can`t remember this happening to me, it did happen to a friend of mine once. She had a chunk of hair that was very wet & had frozen together, when she went to touch it it actually broke off in her hand.

Yes Tiny Tina hair can easily freeze. Over here in weather that can easily drop to -40 we people learned that our hair has to be dry before going out. IN the past when I was younger my hair frozed often because I wasn`t preparing myself. Also going outside with wet hair in the winter is a good recipe for getting sick.
