Hello, I just registered here because I have a few questions about hair extentions. I'm considering about possibly getting them done, but I'm not quite sure. Anyway, I'm twenty year old male and I already have long, straight hair. My hair is about collar bone length. I don't know what's going on with my hair at such a young age! I already have a receding hairline and it totally bums me out. This is crazy. If I can't do anything with my hair, I suppose I'll be shaving my hair completely off. Would hair extentions help me here? Would they make my hair appear fuller? If anyone here is willing to help me out, I would very much appreciate that.

Thank you.

Extensions really don't solve thinning problems around the hair line - think of what Britney Spears' look like right now.  The only thing they could really do is make the rest of your hair appear fuller, but a recedeing hair line would still be visable.

There is the option of a closure piece or a partial lace front wig - those are the only things that can really camoflogue a receding hair line.

A word of encoragement if you are already balding - my dad had georgous hair, long thick dark and curly and started balding at I think about 17 or 18. He never went fully bald, still has the sides, but he's one of the most handsome men I know. :) and I don't entirely say that because he's my dad.

Also you can always check out the hair loss section of the forums, they might have some better tips.

Consult a doctor. There are many meds and procedures available that deal with hair loss.

Like Bunny said there are many hair pieces that can help cover it. One technique uses a net and the weave is attached to it but being such a young guy I don't know if you want to go that route unless it's your only option.
