Hi all. Those of you who have sew in wefts, about how long did it take you to get them installed? I have 3 wefts I want sewn in and I have sent photos to the lady who is doing the sew in and she says not a problem and then I asked her about how long does it take to do 3 and she says only about a half hour? That seems awful quick to me and now Im worried about what kind of job she will do and this is expensive hair and I dont want someone messing around and doing a crap install ya know? Does a half hour for 3 wefts sewn seem fast to you?

That sounds fast but not crazy fast. I think it should be fine.

Okay, I went back on diye forum and looked under tutorials and she said an hour and I think that was 3 also so it’s probably okay. I also double checked with this stylist that we were on the same page and she understood what I wanted and she seems to. I was afraid maybe this whole time she thought glue-in or something! But she knows and also she has about 6 years experience so maybe she’s just fast. Thanks. She has nice before and afters as well. She wouldn’t have a boat load of clients if people were pissed off I’m guessing.

Krisma,

I have four and all said and done it took about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes give or take.  My gal has been doing it for 20 plus years and I think once they get it down it goes fast.  You will love it, the only thing that is a tad irritating is sometimes I will itch close to the braid and try not to scratch, but sometimes that's hard not to.  They are comfortable and have never hurt.  Good luck!

Thanks tessa. I have calmed down a bit. I think partly its because Ive always had strand by strand methods done so Im used to being in that chair for many moons.

For my stylist to do a few tracks would not take more than 30 minutes.. If you're not getting any other styling services, 20-30 minutes is about right..

Yes Im not. I just want 3 tracks and then once installed, even up the ends and thats it. No fancy cutting.

Yes, that's the average time. I've had a full head weave, no hair out at all and it took about  30-45 minutes to install.

Wow, quick. But when you think what they are actually doing and its a braid with a strip of hair, makes sense. I am just used to fusion which can be sooo long. Some salons will actually feed you lunch! heheh
