my brother faded my ish once and I wasn't even paying attention. I was pissed, but it still looked straight.
Usually I just get it tapered though -------------

Taper - the style of having the hair cut getting progressively shorter lower down towards the nape of the head. This is generally done with electric clippers and gives a crisper, freshly cut look. my hair grow fast (braids) so i tapers everytime i get a cut (3 weeks or so) -------------
