HI, I have heard of a body wave? What is it? Where can I find a picture of it?

The difference between a body wave and a permanent wave is the rod size. A body wave uses bigger rods and is generally used to add lift to fine or limp hair. It gives excellent support for styles (hot rollers or wet sets hold longer with a body wave) or you can let the hair air dry for a wavy look. A regular perm uses smaller rods and gives a much tighter curl. Sorry, I have been unable to locate any pictures of a body wave.

Generally, body waves use milder solutions and are less likely to damage your hair. The larger rods will produce a lazy S shape to the hair. I didn`t find any pictures of a body wave either, but did locate a web site that discusses all of the various winding techniques with perming. There are so many options when winding the hair.
