It is I again. I`ve been thinking about this for a while but wasn`t sure what to do. My hair is fine and damages easy. I`ve tried using leave-ins but they make my hair flat and limp and then I used a spray in but felt that I wasn`t conditioning enough. So the question is -To leave in or not to leave in? I`m using a mild shampoo and conditioner (from EP whom I`m seriously going to miss) and that seems okay but sometimes it does feel too heavy. I was thinking maybe a more richer shampoo and then a leave in. What`s worked for everyone else?

Fine hair usually contains too much moisture. This is why the hair lays flat and limp. A rich shampoo and conditioner will add to the problem.

If your hair is fine and not chemically treated, use a good shampoo for fine hair and forgo the conditioner every once in awhile. Once a week protein treatments often works wonders. Edwin Paul Moisture Reconstructor is a good choice...very high in protein.

If your hair is fine and chemically treated, permed or colored, use a shampoo for fine hair and a conditioner. Use the conditioner more on the lengths of the hair and try to keep it away from the scalp. If the roots are free of conditioner, the hair will be fluffier.

Very long hair is usually not recommended for fine hair. If you do wear it long, use a protein treatment once a week. A color or perm usually adds body to fine, limp hair.

Generally, a light areosol leave-in spray works on fine hair without weighing it down.

Good luck! :)
