This thread is not intended to start any wars over types of hair or vendors but of all the different kinds of hair you have had installed, which type has lasted the longest? I ask because many of us see no problem with spending top dollar on hair that is good quality and lasts at least through 2 or more installs. If you are like me, you don’t want to waste the time/money on reusing crappy hair and would rather start fresh but that adds up. This is also not limited to human hair if you have had a good experience with synthetic

I'm on my 4th install with virgin Russian hair. Since it's not processed it will last as long as I take care of it. Split ends would be the only reason I wouldn't use it but I don't use heat tools on it too much.

How about yourself?

Hmm. Honestly I have never found a type of hair that I felt held up good enough for a repeat install. The only kind I did a second on was Indian hair and this was way back in the 90s. It wasnt that I felt the hair was in good enough shape to continue using, but I was so new to extensions I just thought I should reuse it. I was terribly confused. But by the second go round, it looked like i was wearing a dead otter on my head so I am looking for better hair now. I did go with the Russian. Its fantastic to the touch! Oh my! Its hairorgasmic! But its not being sewn in till this sat.

Oh cool! I think you'll love it!
How many tracks are you getting? What length? Texture?

I think Wagman can also be used over and over again.
I don't think they coat their hair?? I know they perm it but I'm pretty sure they
aren't coating it.

Are you headed to boston??  You'll have to post pics!!  I'm pysched to hear how it goes for you.

I haven't really had any hair last more then 6 weeks for me, except for the ESG(Elite Supreme Gold) I got from shrinkies.net. I should say too that I get bored with hair and tend to get new hair for the fun of it.

I have had my russian in for 3 weeks I think, and am reinstalling tomorrow.  I don't forsee any trouble being able to use it for many months tho, it still looks just like it did when it came out of the tissue.  I even colored it, no problems at all....

I got 3 wefts of the dark brown in 19-20 inch. Straight. Its not very much hair though so I will see how this looks and then possibly do a 4th if its too thin. But since I want kind of a sleek, straight look, this might be fine.

Yah Malibu, I forgot about wagman.  They can defantly be used over and over again, just be preparred to use alot of product.  I found the hair sucked up the conditioner like a sponge!!

Yep im going to Boston for the install. I just cant do things like that myself as im not as talented as some of you all lol. How people do their own installs is beyond me. How do you get behind yourself? lol

I keep hearing good things about the Russian but I am not coloring it and using good care products and only shampooing once a week to be on the safe side.

is wagman a brand? or a type? I guess I can just look lol. I also liked jetset's website just for presentation but you cant always go by that because most all brand new hair looks fantastic in photos. Anyone can also destroy good hair with bad care. I want to be fair at least hehe.

Wagman is a brand, http://www.wagmanprimus.com - www.wagmanprimus.com nice high quality indian hair, wonder wefts too.
I tried jet set, but the texture I got required trimming every two weeks.  I think it was the curl pattern tho.  I got samples of their straight and it was beautiful.

I don't know about Jetset. Their hair feels coated so it won't last very long. I held the Jetset next to my Russian hair and the Jetset looks like a plastic bag in comparison.

Yeah I think that evil coating is really a problem. Im so aware of it now though I think i can almost feel/smell it on new hair. Its makes the hair hyper glossy and unnatural looking and it smells like plastic.

The Russian hair just smelt like shampoo and looks and feels how nice healthy hair looks growing out of someones head. That seems to be the differance.
