This is her latest look

Sienna%20Miller%20Hairstyle

She's obviously on the grow but this look has zip point diddly squat style at all; if she would try running a comb through it, it would look a little better.

Some other looks she's had

Seems she's always been in need of a comb/brush

She seems to have a kind of scrunched up body shape--kinda like she should have been a boy.

Sienna always seems to have prominent dark roots and all her cuts longer than her "Edie" have an unattractive center part and are one length. Don't famous people have access to good stylists on a regular basis? She doesn't wear longer hair well.

Maybe she's growing out, or maybe she just needs a comb or a brush.

I agree...

My guess is she is growing it longer for a movie role. She seems to like it shorter.

On what basis do you make this deduction?

I have no idea what she likes. She cut it for a movie role and felt that the short cut would better potray the character. Actresses frequently grow their hair out after a short cut because the producers might not want short hair for the next role. But it's unlikely she's growing it out for a specific role, because hair doesn't grow that fast. Her length now is perfect for extensions, like those she wore in "Interview." So that's win win for producers. Cut it if you want shorter or extensions for longer.

Heath you also left out wigs. If she needs short hair here hide it under this. Just another tool they have.

Only as a last resort after cuts and extensions. Wigs are dicey because they can look fake.

I kinda like her colour in the very first picture, but what shade of blonde would you classify that as?

The sister is very cute but Sienna is pretty as well.  She always has a different hair style and sometimes I can't tell it's her in magazine pictures.  I like her hair better when it's a bit longer than the short style she was sporting while filming Factory Girl.
