I cut a friends hair who used to get his hair highlighted. He asked me if I would try doing to him. I have never done it but would love to know how. How good are the home kits? Which is the best brand? He has dark chocolate brown colored hair (If that is a technical way of describing). I saw pictures of his hair when he had it highlighted before and looked like the color of dirty blond. Can someone give me some details on how to do it? What tools do you need? A friend had told me that you can use a hair dryer to develope the color under a plastic bag placed over the hair that is being colored. Also, I thought of an idea to test the color was to use some of his hair from his next haircut and see how it develops. Would that be an accurate re-creation? I know I threw a lot of questions out there. I would be interested in even a video on how to this. Are there any out there?

Thanks in advance!
