Hi all!

This maybe a silly question but I'm looking to get some virgin hair and install it using hot fusion strand by strand.

My problem is that it only comes in natural colours and I want to change the colour to blend with my own.

Do I do that before I install it? I want the whole install to look as much the same as possible so I was thinking about colouring both my hair and the extensions once in.

Is that a good idea as the extensions will have only just been put in and I know it's best to wait a day before you wash your hair etc.

If you're getting virgin hair on a weft, please color while the hair is still on the weft. This will ensure you don't waste any hair and that the cuticle direction stays aligned.

It's not advisable to color the extensions along with your own hair after the extensions are applied. The integrity of the bond could suffer and break down. Also, trapping bleach (if used) or coloring agents within the bond itself has happened before to some members here and they experienced hair breakage simply by doing it that way.

I've colored first and installed the same day without any problem but you can wait a day also if you don't want to do everything at once.

So what color are you wanting to get the virgin to?

Hi Amm thanks for your advice.

The hair I have is only in natural colours like natural brown or  blonde etc. I'm looking to colour the hair to achieve a lighter blonde mix like 14/22 or 18/22 for higlights
