Ahh I just went in and had an addtional 1 " taken off my hair and it looked so good, 3 day laters the split ends are back in full swing, my slipt ends have slipts again, i can't stand the thought of  cutting another inch off. what gives  why is this still happening?

some products i have tried to regain mositure to my poor hair
 nexxus humcant
 redken all soft
 jioco reconstructing conditioner
 kolesteral
 aphoogee moisturizer
crap  i can't remeber the other one but its recomended alot on here.

they have all worked in there own way but my ends still are nasty like crazy. i air dry all the time and no straight irons for me.

why isn't my hair excepting  moisture?
my hair type is naturally wavy but since all the coloring it has turned stick straight.

Hi!

I think the http://www.spiralhaircase.com/products/haircare/joico.html - Joico Reconstructor that you listed is my personal favorite. I've been a stylist for 25 years and I love that product. I think it's the best reconstructor on the market today! If I had to recommend something new to try for hair damage, it would be the http://www.spiralhaircase.com/products/haircare/hayashi.html - Hayashi 911 Conditioner.

Seriously though, split ends cannot be repaired. They need to be cut off. I realize you already had an inch taken off but you may need more. Then, keep it conditioned well so you don't get more of them. Here are some hints that will help to not get those splits:

1. Air drying helps (you already do this)
2. NEVER use a brush on wet hair or to take out snarls (many people still don't know this.) Use a large tooth comb! Only use a brush on the hair when there are no tangles in it.
3. Towel blot by wrapping hair in a towel and squeezing out the moisture...don't rub the towel vigorously through the hair.
4. Protectant cream or gel should be used in wet hair. Many of them have sunscreens that can help from ultraviolet damage to the hair.

Good luck to you!

When I used to let my hair grow pink oil moisterizer used to take care of alot of split ends for me and it is a great moisterizer.
