I am new to this site and read that I need to purchase I tip hair for the micro links method.  I am attaching the microlinks myself and I have never worn them before.  I usually wear glue in tracks but need to take a break from really bad glue damage.  I heard micro links are healthier.  I purchased the hair from
http://www.sunnyshairandwigs.com/fusion.html - http://www.sunnyshairandwigs.com/fusion.html   .... by the way, if anyone has used their i tip hair, please let me know how it is.     I do not quite understand how to attach the micro link with the fusion hair.  Can someone please explain and is the hair I'm purchasing correct?  Thank you.

I did my head in micro-links twice, hope you have silicone lined links.
It hurts for 3 days (as does most single installs) but you'll  be fine.

I currantly have micro links and they are not silicone lined. I have had them in exactly two weeks today and I have already lost 15. My stylist is coming back from vacation tomm. Do the silicone lined ones really hold better? Or should i look for another method? I have thin hair ( like Charlize theron thin) and having tracks wouldnt work. I had GL which destroyed my hair.

the silicone lined rings might hold a little better or be a little less prone to slipping, but it may be that you either havent crimped them shut tight enough or dont have enough natural hair in them.

maybe you should try skin wefts, that's the next technique I'm going to try on my guinea pig, I mean daughterLOL not sure when though. Asinnamon posted pics of her example here, scroll down to about the middle of the page: http://talk.hairboutique.com//forum_posts.asp?TID=52224&PID=386530#386530
Someone here said that this company has good skin wefts, I can't remember who though. They're inexpensive so there's low risk money wise and they come in 30 colors I think and I think thye have blended colors too.

ok.. .I've had mine in for a few weeks and i've lost about 20 so far.   I hate the slippage but I love the hair.  People think it's mine and I have to tell them it isn't.   I love the look of everything over all but I worry about the slippage because I dont want it to happen in a public place like diner or something.   I purchased the regular mirco links from shrinkies.net.  Any suggestions on how to stop the slippage? Do I have to re-install with sillicone lined rings?
