I've tried it for the first time a week ago. I love the ease of it! I did a search and it doesn't look like it's really been discussed at HB for over a month. At that point, the 'rules' suggest to just start a new thread.
 No harm in doing that at all. Quite a few members at DIYE are using Tiffany Twist, and have alot of free discussion on it and plenty of info.
PM me with any questions...as I'm not sure whether it's welcomed here to be discussed(kind of like mentioning Russian hair, lol).

Yes I am sure alot of these women heard the same questions over and over, but some of these threads originated months ago. So I figured ill add a new topic and if they want to answer they will. Mostly everyone on here has been super helpful!

| If you want a strand install TT is the method I'd recommend. It took a while to get the hang...but the take-down is totally worth it. No acetone, no pliers...and it smells nice too! |

Hey Sourgirl.. It still wouldn't hurt to check out the other Tffany Twist threads.. (I think that this is what MsHoney was trying to say this  ) searched for "tiffany" and got three pages of results.. I took the liberty of posting the first page.. HTH.. Overall there's been some good reviews posted.. If I was into DIY and wanted to try fusion (or something similar) for the first time, this would be the way I would go.. Good luck..

Hey Diva. We asked pooks just about every question imaginable about the TT. Tiffany even came on and answered many of our questions herself. And then platnium asked for updates and we asked pooks even more questions.
MileHigh, I completely misunderstood her question. I assumed that when she asked, "I just saw an advertisment for Tiffany Twist. Has anyone ever tried it and if so, what did u think?" I think Mshoney was just suggesting that if you do a search there's a wealth of info on the topic. Why the sensitivity?? Milehi, if you read the rules that you pointed out you would see there's no problem discussing methods here. ------------- |

nope, no rules at all, we've discussed some wild stuff here.
The Tiffany Twists discussions were fun, those girls put that system to it's paces and Tiffany was so helpful not pushing her product but giving real help and didn't get defensive at all when concerns were raised. Very professional. All of the testing and feedback and the her character helped me to decide to buy the TT. I plan to try them for highlights and some other stuff that the girls here have taken the time to research.
As I said before, I never go by what the vendors say, I do my own exhaustive research before I buy any product, including hair. ------------- ALL EYES ON ME |

Yes alot of the threads did originate awhile ago, and obviously you already did a search on this site, and are just trying to learn more. So true about the same questions going on, but it's great to get updates and different perspectives from numerous people, not just one person...especially when you're new to a certain type of hair or method.

Also, in reference to the Tiffany Twist product. I agree, she has been very supportive of everyone trying it. I think it's great that she uses her own product!
It does take some practice at getting the right amount of bond. I've dipped a strand too deep, tapped it too much/too little on the pot's rim. But most importantly, with my go at it, was getting the extension strand lined up good with my hair, then pinching a little at the top, a little at the bottom. Hold it taut between top and bottom, allowing the bond to seep, those 10ish seconds. I've noticed if I didn't have it lined up good, those were the few that I have lost immediately. Or I could tell, after doing a row, and letting it 'set', doing a quick tug, which ones were going to be lost.
If you've dipped too far, you can still use that strand and attach. Valentine has suggested using a flat iron to shorten the bond. As she said, it does just kind of evaporate. You have a little substance on your flat iron that easily wipes off.
The directions might sound complicated...but when you have it there in front of you, it's pretty simple and quick. It's just a matter of tweaking your method of how you use it.

Others may have discussed them already....but perhaps sourgirl would like to discuss them, and has questions of her own? I've offered to discuss them with her, and have offered my opinion and experience with them.
Why, exactly, does that need to be ridiculed? This is what I meant by the topic being "welcomed" to discuss, not saying that it's specifically connected to any rules. I may have misunderstood mshoney's post above, and the shortness of it.
We're all just trying to help each other out here....apologies on my behalf for any confusion with this thread.

It is not that serious. She knows she's free to ask questions, we all are. I was just suggesting that she read the info we had discussed already and if she had more questions I'm sure she would have asked, which she hasn't so far.
She doesn't appear to feel ridiculed, why do you feel she has? From the many exchanges I've had with her she has never come off as a touchy, easliy insulted person who needs someone to come to her rescue. She's a grown woman and I've not seen her have any problem at all speaking up if she feels slighted ,which she has not done. ------------- ALL EYES ON ME |

Honestly, I tried to do the individuals on myself and no thanks! I couldn't get clean sectioning and all of my bonds were crooked with cross hairs stuck in them. Oh and I burned my fingers, it was great. ------------- |

asinnamon- maybe try and mock lining up the strand without dipping...and getting the idea of it prior to using the hot bond. just a thought, cuz i'm going to try that next time while the bond is melting, kinda like a "warm up" exercise. |
