I dont know what shes wearing but it looks great. Very natural in both pics. Of course Halle, what can I say. The woman would look good in a pink bozo the clown wig.
I like the way her face can really change in movies like she has the glam thing down but then how she looked in Raising Isaiah? Amazing! |

| She got a nose job? I never heard that but I dont keep up on celeb stuff that much. I could see it being GL, at least the one on the right with a ton of hair. I dont especially like the way its really bulky on top but it still looks pretty natural to me. Like maybe just streamline that a bit. |

yep, compare her early photos to the ones when she hit the big times, chop job for sure. It looks like she had her upper lip done too, better shape. not as drastic of a change as Beyonce, but you can tell if you look closely ------------- ALL EYES ON ME |

| Interesting. I once had the restalyn injections done to my lips. I just wanted a tad fuller and it’s not a permanent procedure anyway. Well they did it to top and bottom and it swelled up horribly but that’s normal. I really liked it the day after and it was perfect. But then they kept deflating and it seemed like it was gone in a week. Waste of money in my opinion. You can almost get the same results using those lip plumper products for $8 or so. |

I never saw it either but the hair was way past Halle's butt and she had to walk around with that stuff. But when the filming was over and she was still wearing it, I was like "Aw come on" ------------- ALL EYES ON ME |

| I think with celebs what very often happens is they get a role and the hair is done for them as part of makeup and wardrobe. They dont pay a red cent for it. (must be nice) So she may have gotten that do for Their Eyes and then left it in for a while. I probably would also if it was free hair and its not like she doesnt have the mula to keep it up if she wanted. It can take more than a year to do a film so extensions might actually be more cost effective then using wigs and also look better in close ups etc and more natural. |

Elementary, my dear Watson
! I tried to eliminate each technique. I said no to lace fronts,lace closures and full lace wigs because of her roots, to lumpy and kinky. I said no to wefts because of the way the hair is twisted in big bundles in the front from the center part down, the track would show beside it because of the part the twists would cause. So that left me with the strand techniques. I ruled out the links, tubes and rings because many stylist will not put them in some black girls hair because we usually wear a lot of oils and sheens because of dryness and hers often looks dry. So that left me with fusion. Oil won't cause them to slip, they have a freer flow to them and she can wear them coming toward her face or in a high ponytail which she has in some of the pics I've seen. And a lot of sites said she's wearing great lengths ------------- ALL EYES ON ME |

but a weave would have been sooo much faster I love Sherrie's hair. It's so thick and full. Sherrie, how many wefts do you wear anyway? Are you doubling or triple tracks? Boy, I sure wish that girl named Diva would find some good lace closures ------------- ALL EYES ON ME |

I wear ALOT of hair. Typically around 8-9 ounces or more sometimes! I have worn as much as 11 with silky straight. About 8-9 is perfect for me with SS 22 inch. With this FR I have about 7 ounces installed. Last time I did 9 ounces FR and it was TOO much with this texture.

I've seen the film and her hair IS amazingly long.
But her hair had to be very good for the film because I remember it playing a big part in the way the other characters saw her. While most of the other characters had quite plain or rather bad hair she was always the character with this gorgeous dark flowing hair. Then, later on in the movie, she was made to tie it up after she married and it was like she was inferior to everyone else because she was covering the part of herself that initially set her apart from the rest.
Anyway, because of that her hair in the film had to be absolute perfection. And it was. It was simply perfect in ever scene even during the flood. So with hair that good, I rekon I wouldn't be in a hurry to get rid of it after the filming either!
I wonder, though, how her hair goes from long to short dramatically longer again so much and yet most of the male population remain oblivious to the very existance of hair extensions! -------------

men are usually slow when it comes to things like that, besides most people figure that since she's a light-skinned black woman that it's her natural hair but if she was dark-skinned they would automatically think she was wearing extensions. As a matter of fact most non blacks honestly don't believe that a black woman is able to grow her hair past her shoulders  . ------------- ALL EYES ON ME |

Amen to ...men are slow when it comes to hair. Some of the men at HB.com did not even realize that Brigid was now wearing hair extensions, they just thought she looked "different". But they couldn't figure out what was different. HUH? Which is amazing to me because she went from a below-the-chin bob to hair that extends below the bottom of her bra-strap. How could they not notice such a difference? Its crazy. But typical. :-) ------------- That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-) |

Unless it's an extreme hairstyle or really jacked up they tend not to look at our hair, now if Brigid grew hair on her boobs or her butt they would be able to tell you the exact length, shade and texture ------------- ALL EYES ON ME |

I have to disagree. Most people are not familiar with hair extensions. I'm from Queens and also lived in Brooklyn for several years. I had no idea that many black people wore weaves, none. I knew many black people in school and at work and I really did not know until I told my friend she had great hair and she told me about tracks and weaves. Also, the braids I always thought was their hair. Perhaps I sound ignorant but I grew up with a large mix of people and had no clue it wasn't their hair. I wish I had known because I would have gotten on the extensions bandwagon a long time ago. ------------- |

people who know about hair extensions..... We had a big todo in the 80's and '90's about black women and extensions. I mean some fools even wrote songs about it. Even now when I watch awards shows some hosts are awed by the fact that some black celebs on the red carpet had long hair with not extensions. ------------- ALL EYES ON ME |
