After much consideration I've decided to get extensions but im not sure about how much hair i should get for the sew in.My hair is about six inches past my shoulders and really curly but fine and i want to get 18 in. hair but i have no clue how much i need. Another question i have is should i get hand tied or machine weft hair?

You probably wont need much hair. Since you already have some length and your hair is curly, and you arent going extremely longer.  Curly hair has more volume so it wont require as much. I would say 3 ounces would likely be plenty. Most places sell by the 4 ounce packages/bundles.

Machine wefts or handtied is really just a personal preference. The handtied wefts are smaller and lay flatter, and less detectable, but machine wefts are more durable long term.

Current install-Bohyme Bodywave #30 and #14 in the straight hair/ they didn't have the #14 in bodywave, so I mixed them...works great!
