oh how I would love to be a little 'fly on the wall'.
you should be video'ing this Karen! |
We are photographing various stages. If we videotaped someone would be exhausted by now. It is taking a very long time to do this but in all fairness, I am doing very little and letting Billy and Brigid do the bulk of the work together.
Billy has burnt some of his fingers but the glue (well is it not glue but dermbond) smell has calmed down a bit due to the aromatherapy candles.
Brigid and Billy are going to write a complete review of everything they experienced from beginning to end. HB paid for the TT system and by the way, we are going to start testing lots of systems.
I have been accused of not allowing people here to write about their experiences with different vendors/accessories/hair/systems and showing favoritism to particular systems or hair.
Well if I have to try ever product on the market, I am determined to do that to get firsthand knowledge.
So if anyone wants us to try their system...please let me know. We will only test systems that HB pays for so that there will be no favoritism of any kind.
Brigid is of course loving this because she gets to wear all the hair. So far we have applied Jon Renau clip-ins, Jon Renau clip-in bangs and she has worn ALL of the HairDo pieces including their HH piece. When we met with the hair guy on Friday he promised to sell us some different hair to try including Russian, Chinese, Indian...etc.
I don't think it is really fair to make comments about any type of hair product, accessories or hair systems without out trying it. So we are doing that.
There are several other HB volunteers here that have offered to have extensions applied. So I guess we will all be learning a lot here at HB with the DIY testing. :-)
Also.....big announcement on my part....I have formally applied and been accepted at cosmetology school. I start next Saturday. I am tired of being called an "amateur" even though I have spent the past 10 years working with hair 24/7 in some capacity. I will do the time and get the paper. You know what they say.....until you walk in the shoes..........
No I don't have a life. Now I really won't have one. I have also purchased all the books and will start studying for the hair color certification program with my friend Barbara Lhotan who is a hairdresser with 25+ years experience. She actually taught me how to give a great haircut at her salon and she helps me with color questions for my columns.
The school I am going to has a hair extension program. So guess what I will be doing in school? I just hope I get out of there with my below-waist length hair intact. That might be the hardest part. :-)
