is it important to do that or doesnt it matter, because right now i have NO waves at all as my hair is short, and i hope my barber hasnt scalped me coz im worried i myt have to start again.

Yes, it is important to brush before you reach your minimum wavelength. The reason that it is important is because your waves are still in a formation period before they become visible. If you don't brush vigorously and often before you reach your mwl, it is going to take you longer to train your hair to wave up. ------------- DUB-C |
