Hi Guys,

I need some advice.

I am looking to start a hair extension business.  I have been doing other peoples hair for a while now (microlinks, weaves and braiding) but have decided to just start selling hair extensions and accessories.

I have used remy hair (grade A) but within 5 weeks it has started to tangle for my clients.(I thought it should last up to six months)  I know people are recommending bohyme hair but as a supplier i am looking for the cheapest prices possible to make it worth while for me but i do not want to compromise on hair quality.  What are your thoughts and can you recommend suppliers

This business will be in the UK and would appreciate any feedback from anyone doing the same worldwide.  i would even consider a francise as well

thanks for reading Wink

cheapest price= cheap hair.
for suppliers, you will have to sort thru them to find what you are looking for.

I don't own a hair extension business. However, I don't think that anybody will reveal their  connection, since it would hurt their own business. The best thing is to do your research on this and other forums, basically reading the threats and also try to get reviews on search engines to find out what other buyers have to say about different vendors.
You have a great idea and I wish you the best Smile

My advice as a client and not a stylist would be offer as many textures and types of hair as you can. Also, I tend to agree with the old adage of "you get what you pay for". This is especially true when it comes to hair quality. I understand you want to keep cost down for both yourelf and the client so my advice would be to offer people options. Explain that this hair is expensive because it will last and this hair not so expensive but expect to swap it out sooner. Leave it up to the client to decide. Honesty is the best policy when dealing with hair in my opinion and after wearing extensions for years now.

Misshair

still testing

I have a full head installed with hair from different suppliers.

I dyed it before the install, to see how it would held up.

So far, so good.

I will do 2 more full head installs this week. I will re-tip the hair with keratin, as some bonds are annoying my scalp.

That way I will be more objective about the quality of the hair.

I will make an evaluation after 4 weeks wearing.

I keep in touch.

Honeychild

You’re Wright. But I am not interested in international sales.

Anyway this forum is to good to loose. Here I find objective points of view and tips.

TanglesRC

You Wright. Although I do not know how the prices are in the UK.

Can anybody help my find a melting pot that can go up to 180°C.

Tanks
