Human extensions, most likely not virgin. A darkish brown, between a 5 and 7 im guessing. I need a bleach that will make them really light blonde, so I can dye them other semiperm colors. I'm thinking quick-blue, im being told it works really well, I used a beyond the zone 40 bleach kit on them, didn't do what I wanted. Posted a topic last night butttt this is kind of a different question. What bleach should I be using?

confused.
help?

you will need a bleach with a high peroxide ( developer) vol 40 (12%)

a friend of mine tried to bleach her human hair extensions and they ended up an awful color and she knows what she is doing....not that you don't.....Wink, what i am getting at is this, do you think the extensions are treated with something?  i have never used them but i am wondering about it now since this is the second time i have heard this in a week....i hope you can get yours to lift to a color you like.

Oh, I don't know what I'm doing, when it comes to bleach, so I might be doing something incorrectly. I am thinking that they might be coated, a person on a different hair group told me to put the bleach on, foil it, and put it under some heat to get rid of the 'seal' that is something put on hair extensions...so I might try that. I'm still kind of iffy about trying a different bleach quite yet, since this time it would be on a darker color then the first try.

r4ch3l-

I hope it works out for you! at least try it out on a sample piece before the whole lot....that way you know the timing, and also how the hair is going to react after.

MMMKSO

School starts in less then a week, I find the blonde too much work for its worth, and if i take the time to have extensions, I want them to be perrrty, so im buying bleach as soon as I can. Brand suggestions before I do?
