| I tried pure acetone with pliers...just didn't work! I've been calling around and these ladies want $100+/hr for REMOVAL which I find utterly ridiculous!! Anyone tried something else that's worked WELL?? I've heard of pure grain alcohol, but I just don't know! |

| I thought you had had your GL out for a while? Oh boy. Im sure someone on here knows. When I got mine out I did pay and it took forever and was a nightmare. They put some kind of GL remover on the bonds. What that crap is I have no idea though. Im sure someone on here knows. Whatever you do, dont start pulling on them or you can get breakage. |

try Onyx Professional Remover 100% Acetone from Sally's. For now try crunching the bond with pliers, spray on alot of acetone and then crunch again. ------------- ALL EYES ON ME |

| You folks mean to tell me I spent $100 on GL removal and I could have used some rubbing alcohol and pliers!? Oh well. I had so many in anyway it would have drove me crazy and I wouod have ripped hair out probably. It took the stylist a while and she was trying to be gentle. Man, Im so glad I found sew ins! |

Tina, you have to make a quick serach on the previous post of this forum, I know for sure the question has been raised before by other members. I remember that you had to use alcohol with a high percentage.
Just type "GL removal" in your key words and you'll find it!

| They certainly are. Maybe I just havn't found a fusion method I really like. I think what really got on my nerves is just all those little bumps. If they could come up with a fusion method that was undetectible somehow and you could style it easily without snagging or exposed bonds, i would try it again. But that would be magic i guess. |

yes ive searched the subject before, but nothing seemed to work...but last night RIGHT after i posted this i went to walmart and bought some 91% isopropyl...sprayed it on the bonds, crunched with pliers...and though they didnt slide out with the greatest of ease, it wasnt half bad! took about 1.5 hrs maybe...tried to enlist the bf's help...both pair of pliers had wire cutters...i knew they werent supposed to but STUPID me tried anyway....ended up cutting a SMALL bit with his flathead pliers before nixing them all together lol...mine were needlenose so i was just careful and it was ok....other than that...i had minimal breakage! i have to say i did a bang up job...and it cost me $1.93 and only 1.5 hrs instead of $100+! if anyone needs any tips, let me know! |

| yes! i ordered 3 oz. russian, received it a couple wks ago, sent it off to have it wefted, and should be receiving it this friday:). now i just need to figure out where to go where i wont feel really weird asking my stylist to dye my hair and the weft lol |

| Also, on that other forum, Kristie M posted a really good tutorial on coloring the Russian wefts yourself. It has photos and is very step by step. I understand though if you dont want to do it yourself and it might be safer to go to a stylist. You arent lifting color right? You are going deeper or just adding pigment on top or how are you doing it exactly? I just died my own color to match and left the wefts alone. I got pretty close but my hair was maybe a speck darker than the extension hair but since i used a semi perm, now my hair has faded enough that it matches perfectly. Usually you can sort of ballpark it or get in the same color family and it will be only slightly off. Also, when you look at people's hair naturally, its almost always darker from the root than the ends anyway. |

| I'm actually not sure exactly what im gonna do...i think i may want it just the normal brown but maybe with some highlights? is it bad to color the virgin wefts? i thought itd be ok since its virgin and itd take better to color...also, should i cut the wefts to where theyre going on my head and let her know or will it just blend ok? this is all so confusing! |

| No, its okay to color them. The virgin will hold up great to color because it has not been processed yet. DONT CUT THE LENGTH AT ALL. Get them sew in and THEN have her even it. Trust me, that hair is too expensive to start cutting. Get them in, see how they fall and only take off what you need. I ended up just having mine slightly evened up on the ends. I dont know what you are going for though. Do you want all one length or layers? This hair is so pretty and nice that you can wear it one length and its falls just like natural hair. |
