I recently saw a picture of Mary Kate Olsen with the most fantastic hairstyle. She had immensly frizzy wild hair but it was plaited in a Heidi style plait. Instead of just a standard tiara style it was described as a "halo". The plait went entirely round her head. It looked to me like it started at the nape of the neck but i can't be sure.
 
I want to try and get this hairstyle (i'm sick of pony's/buns and i want something different) but i can't work out how to do it! My hair is just above my chest so its a little short but i have clip in extensions. Does anyone know how i can create it?
 
Also, i tried the standard tiara/heidi plait ontop of my head and i looked TOO heidi. My hair is very thick so even a half head plait comes out looking like rope, and i have a square cut fringe so i looked really super heidi.
 
Any suggestions?

Its in a magazine but i left it at my dad's and he lives 3 hours away. It was basically just a plait that went all the way round the head like a halo or crown. I can't work out how she did it!
