ayo bro i feel ya, I got nappy ass hair like that 2. This is what helped me out, when i firsted started wavin i used pomades because they help to lay down your hair real well, i'd advise that you use murades pomade (Yellow Can) because that isn't too heavy, gives great shine, and holds ur hair down pretty well. So make sure you wash your hair first with some shampoo, get out comb your hair a lil bit (make sure your combin the rite way, and make sure you don't comb out all the water) then apply a silver dollar sized ammout on both sides of ya head then brush with a med to hard brush. That should HELP alot. And make sure u durag or wavecap after.

I agree with C fiftie pomade is the best thing to train your hair to lay down while brushing. Use that pomade to hold your sides down, i've been doing it for the past two days and have seen drastic improvement
