i havent touched the orange one but i have use the green top so im guessing that it jus has a stronger hold but i think it is a good product for shine and the scent that it carries it suitable its a good benefit

Let's Jam Extra Hold is a shining and conditioning gel-based product , it is a great alternative to pomades(better if you ask me). It smells like Candy mixed with Febreeze (good) It is also known as Let's Jam Orange Top(LJOT) I bought some about 2 weeks ago and I have to admit it's a great product it makes you feel like your using pomade when your really not there by eliminating pomade dependency , on the negative side it is summer time and you will attract bees and many insects because of the product so be prepared to come out swingin' .

Dub C advisory-LJOT is best used when you have an established wave pattern

I use a generous amount of LJOT, because of its gel-like qualities.  Unlike pomade, which is petrolatum based, LJOT's main ingredients are water and mineral oil.  Water and mineral oil are volatile substances, which means they have an evaporative effect.

Unlike pomade, when you put a volatile substance in your hair, that substance is absorbed into your porous hair strands and the residual amounts will slowly evaporate.  You should lightly dampen your hair before you apply LJOT.  This decreases the absorption of LJOT in to your hair strands.  After dampening your hair, this water will absorb into your hair strands, and this will leave less room for LJOT to absorb.  This allows  LJOT to appear more prominent in your hair, thus reducing the appearance of dryness and increasing the shine effect.

Brush LJOT evenly through your hair, with a soft or medium brush, and apply a durag and/or wave cap(s) for at least 30 minutes.

LJOT's effectiveness depends on your hair texture and thickness.

i like pomade wen my hair is short or freshly cut. but wen im wolfin i dont touch it at all. it becomes to hard to wash it out wen u got a lot of hair and like iceman said it feels heavy. almost like dried wax on ur head wen ur hair is long.

pomade makin a come back now

as for lets jam
its good when u get that fresh cut and ur close to mid way wolfing(atleast for me)
cause if im starting to wolf pretty hard and i put lets jam in
my hair stuarts curlin back and up
and looks real bad
pomade does the same thing aha
if i put pomade in my hair
i gotta let it sit there for like 2 hours so it can fully dry and my hair wont curl back : /

but other then that
lets jam is a nice product

chrisdog you should try using a moisturizer and then the pomade or LJOT so that your hair won't stick up as much.

anyways overall i think that LJOT is just as good as pomade, it just really depends on what really works for you.

As for washing the pomade out of you hair don't make too much of an effort...Just wash your hair with shampoo...brush it with the shampoo in, then condition...brush with the conditioner in and rinse. Using a med- semi hard brush, this should remove any EXCESS pomade in your hair, the little pomade thats left, little do you know actually helps your hair to lay down even more!

Wave Connec says and I agree that its better to use LJOT when you have a defined 360 pattern. As for developing waves I don't think so.

i have a developed wave pattern and i dont like LJOT, and i have thick hair, but do you. Trial and error. I support sportin waves all day.
