hi all. Well, last night I colored my hair (it was a medium brown with some redish-blonde throughout) to a darker shade...I want to call it a black cherry. Well, its very dark, and has almost a purple cast to it. I can deal with it being dark, but I really want to get rid of the purple. I have tried re-washing it several times and hot oil treatments in an effort to dull the color, but the purple is still clearly there. I want to get it out. I was wondering if there is a certain shade I could dye over it, perhaps a brown, that would conceal the purple.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd suggest getting color fix and then seeing what you end up with...then decide what color to dye it from there.
