I REEEEAALLY am excited to find this site.  I've lurked on LHCF and learned A LOT but I've been really cheap about paying the $5.  But I started implementing the things that I learned about 2mths ago and I can honestly say that I'm seeing some results.  It doesn't help that I'm the world's most impatient person.  I'm glad to be able to post here because I think it will mellow me out a tad.  Sometimes I just need someone to "talk me down."  My dh isn't very good at that though...hehehe.

Anyway....I look forward to chatting and sharing

Welcome to the forum.

May I ask what results have you been seeing since you made changes 2 months ago?

Thank you for asking.  My initial search that led me to LCHF was for some type of growth methods that help where thinning had occurred around my hairline and the very top of my head.  During my pregnancy with my youngest child, I experienced extreme breakage and hair loss that I attributed to lack of good hair care.  In retrospect I realize now that I probably had some serious vitamin deficiencies.  At any rate, I started using MTG and other essential oils that I had never used before.  I started washing my hair more frequently and adopted co-washing into a regimen.  I also started instructing my oldest daughter on healthier hair habits (she’s 18) and started caring for my baby’s hair (she’s 4) with a lot more care and we are all experiencing growth.  My oldest has less breakage and the best shine she’s had in a long time.  Now if I can just get her to stop using heat so often….

Hello all Im new, I have gotten some very great advice from reading many of the post about african american hair. I especially found the mtg information interesting. I contacted a representative at Shapleys and they informed me that they created an mtg for human use that smells goods and its 11.95 its called sulu hair oil, they have created a website http://shop.suluhair.com/ - http://shop.suluhair.com  , its exactly the same at the horse stuff but smells better
