I have reddish brown hair. I'm naturally blonde, and have been dying it red for 3 years. Now, no one I know has seen me with blonde hair, and I would like to go back. I started dying it brown, to try and get it to naturally fade out a little so I can dye it. I'm concerned because the red isn't going away... can I strip it and then get it to a honey-like color?

help

if your hair's in good condition, then I'd go for it.  Get a color remover/color fix http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/dept/1490 - http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/dept/1490

it will leave your hair orange, then you bleach it to a pale yellow.  just remember to do your roots last!

The red wont fade out unless it is lightened out. Brown will only cover it slightly.
I would do what worldsaver suggested about getting a color remover to strip that built up color of red and brown. Then proceed with bleaching it. You may also want to buy a color to on top of the hair after it has been lightened as it may look a bit brassy.
