Where do you buy the little template that you can use to get super clean partings and lay out where to place the individual strand installs?  I looked at 101 and say the shields I am looking for but not the templates.  Do they even exist or just a myth?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Karen here is a nifty looking multihole template that has clips on each end. Not sure if the clips would make this more convenient or if the clips would make this more cumbersome.

I have seen the multihole templates with no clips....but I am not sure where

I've never seen a template like this... are you supposed to pull each little section through those spaces, attach the extensions and then pull out the template?

Bridget, I was thinking the same thing but I guess the bonds should be smaller than those holes anyway, hence the clips. Once you undo the clips the template should slide off.

I think these would be better than the first ones but does anybody use these? I don't use shields at all but if I did I would rather use the single hole one.

I know this is an older thread, but wanted to give my opinion since i have used both shields & template.  When I'm doing my own strands, I use the shield.  The template is shiny and I can't see what I;m doing because of the glare.  However, when I do my mom's, i use the template and LOVE it!  I have one without clips on it, so I have to use a couple of my own.  I pull hair thru each section, then go thru and do my bonds.  When I'm done, I remove the clips and gently slide the template down the length of hair and repostion it to the next area.  got mine off ebay too...6 for 6 bucks and they do come with thier own clips, just not attatched to the template

So they're close enough to avoid cross hairs? What do you use to pull them through the holes a micro hook? Is it supposed to make the install faster or just more uniform?

Yup, you use a hook to pull the hair thru the template.  yes, I find these a lot easier to deal with in respect to cross hairs.  and for me, on my mom's hair, the multi hole templet makes installs much faster.  she has a lot of short hairs that are growing out, so sectioning is a PITA!

Has anyone ever seen these in Sally's?

Do you ladies think that this would work well for the Tiffany Twist system too?

I think it would scrape quite a bit of the TT off during removal since it's primarily wax, I wouldn't suggest using it.

I think it would be fine for TT.  Just be careful when removing the template, as you be with any other bond...

I was just going thru my photos and found one of an install I did on my Mom using the multi hole template.....

There are still a couple of unruley hairs around there, but they are not in the bonds.
