I have black, straight, waist length hair.
It is thick from the back but thin at the top and the hairline is thinning also.
I want to trim it 3inch and then layer it.
My mother won`t let me keep it short and this is the only real way i can have a simple style without spending too much time on my hair and without having it be short when i tie it up in a ponytail.
I will tell the hairdresser i want a trim and layers starting at my jawline and getting longer in steps.
Does this sound like a good description?
Will it make my hair look different?
Will it make it look unhealthy?
Is there a specific name of this type of layer?
Do you have any other suggestions and any hairsites i can visit with long layered hair?
Also, should i wash my hair before I go or have it cut dry?
Is there anything else I need to tell the hairdresser? or know?
