Hi all. When I first got my wefts installed, the stylist doing them cut off two pieces. I would say one is about an inch and the other maybe 2 inches in length. She had to cut them in order to make the wefts fit properly around my head as they were a little too long.

I kept the pieces and am going in for a re-do on Sep 22nd so next Saturday. I was wondering can she sew those in somehow so I can be wearing all the hair? I hate for any of this hair to go to waste. Let me know if small pieces like that can be sew in somehow. Thank you.

I personally wouldn't bother with installing pieces this small simply for the sake of having all the hair on my head.. I've had pieces this small left over and I simply save them for places in the install which really require a small piece of hair... (rarely happens)

The only thing is its super nice expensive hair so if I can use it, I would like to. If the hair was not so nice, I would have tossed it.

So if you install them on areas you want more hair, where would you want to place them ideally? Like between the top and middle weft? On the sides?

I understood that you were talking about super expensive hair.. I too was referring to super expensive hair... What I am saying is that I never felt that the leftover hair was going to "waste". If it couldn't be used, it just couldn't be used.. I would take home the extra hair and hang on to it in case it could be used in a future install.. If you just feel you need to add these 1-2" pieces to the install I suppose you could just ask your stylist to place them anywhere..

I personally don't place them where I want more hair. Honestly a 1-2" piece of weft isn't going to add any additional fullness anywhere in your install.. If I used a small weft snippet, I might use them in places where I need a 1 or 2" piece to cover the length of a track.

I'll just bring em with me and ask i guess...

If it cant be used, it cant be used. I guess i just feel compelled to try to get it on there. It seems like it could fit on the sides but I also dont want it bulging out or causing problems.

Actually I have been using a 2" piece to lengthen the weft because I want
as much hair in front as possible. My two braids are horseshoe shaped and I want the braid to start as close to my hair line as possible. I think the braid starts about an inch away from my hairline.

You can also use those small pieces and lg or tape them in the front. Either way, don't throw them away.

Cool idea. I never thought of taping. I mean there is a lot of hair connected to them so no way will I toss them. There must be a way! If not sewn in (they might be too small for that), tape or something along those lines.
