my hair right now is a medium blonde with light/white streaks & dark blonde lowlights

So I picked out my dye because I want to go darker--a dark neutral blonde.  I've done lots of strand tests & it looks pretty close to my natural color, just a little darker because my natural color has some medium blonde in it too in the front.  (this is according to the professional charts, the average person would say it's medium brown with dirty blonde in it!)

So, if I pick out strands where I want highlights and coat them with conditioner, will it help keep the dye a from saturating a little in those areas?  Or if I get some strands wet?  I know it will be nothing drastic, but do you think it might help a tiny bit?  or a waste of time?

thanks!

Hmm...maybe conditioner would help, but I think wet or damp hair may help it absorb the color more.(because the cuticle would be open)

Well I guess I"ll try the conditioner then, thanks!  I'll post how it turns out/if it helps any!

It's going to be about 2 weeks though, unless I change my mind (which is likely)
