Ok I got this from another site and I just would like to see where people here think. Do you think she will grow it pass her shoulders as it is slowly doing now or keep the bob like do she has now.

Mike, our many emails must have fallen on deaf ears. I urged Ann not to cut it back in the day, but the show had to go on. Haircut + celebrity + "good cause" = good ratings. Her haircut was a lowpoint for me personally. While I long for days gone by, Ann seems happy with her shorter do. Every time it grows a couple inches, she seems to have it grow shorter. My opinion is she will continue to please her fans who like her best with shorter hair.

Yes, it would, Mike, but NO, she definitely will not. Don't think she hasn't heard about the Locks of Love fury. Hundreds wrote to NBC *before* the ratings ploy show, warning them. She will not ever go long again, b/c she wants people to forget that hair episode, I suspect. Yeah, it was glorious, but at least the old pasted-down look is gone. Confused Bob

If everyone loves long hair so much why do these ratings ploys work so well?  Must be the car wreck thing, everyone tunes in to see how awful it will turn out?

I wonder how much extra she was paid for that ploy?  She wishes she had given her viewers that money to forget that hair episode, I suspect.

Why else would she cut her hair?  Has to be either money or ratings!

I have an idea Hal...MAYBE SHE WANTED TO CUT HER HAIR!!!!Shocked

Is it possible that not all women want long hair?  I don't tell my wife how to cut her hair, and in the time I've been married (13 years), she has had long, and short hair, usually grown, or cut, depending on what she wants.  I could be wrong, but free will does enter into the equation at some point in time.

Hal and ssjockey you both could be right and wrong. We will never know except when she did something for lifetime and I think she said she was growing it our her grandmother? Then someone came down is cancer and then she wanted to cut it for them? I think I have it right but not sure I think you guys might be able to put more light on it.

Guys, at the time Ann said the only reason she let hair grow long was to get it cut and donate it to Locks of Love. Toward the end, she said she couldn't wait to get her hair cut. Unless another donation is in her future, she's not going long again.

I would still like to see the patient who received the hair as part of a wig. You'd think Ann and NBC would like that as well. Another ratings bonanza. That is, assuming the hair was A) usable, B) used and C) wasn't sold.

Actresses only cut their hair to revive floundering careers. it's been proven that a haircut suddently makes the actress more popular and producers put them in TV and movies.

Ann grew her hair long in honor of her deceased mom's wishes. "You look like man", Ann admitted she had often told her. She said this on Leno, when her hair was at her shoulders. "You were right, Mom", she exclaimed to the sky. Then, about a year ago in Good Housekeeping, she stated that her mom, who had lost her own prized hair to unsuccessful chemo treatment, "would have been proud" of her donation.
But, Ann did NOT grow hair for Locks of Love. Her DD had talked her into it months before she cut it on air. Something doesn't compute. All I know is that Mom may *not* have been so honored had she discovered that Ann and NBC convinced hundreds of others to donate without disclosing the fact that 99% of the hair is sold or discarded. They all knew the truth well in advance of the big "event"! Best, Bob Confused
