My hair is actually short - a grown out Posh bob, the pic is extensions - so my hair is healthy but I'm planning to use a protein filler and fill the shaft w/color before putting on the permanent color.

 

Any tips for filler shades/tones, or a protein filler to recommend?  I'm already black at the nape so it's only from the occipital bone up that I'll need to change.

 

I'm thinking a red filler and then when the black goes over it it will hold much better, but not actually show red.

Just be sure you want the black hair,because it is alot easier to get to it than it is to get rid of it.Have you tried on any wigs to see how you will look with this color? I'm just asking cuz sometimes going so dark from being so light can a real shocker to yourself afterwards.Some people absolutely hate it (one reason maybe celebs change their colors so much)
