After an long experience of dying my hair blonde, which i won't go into, but because of the colour/roots/money/damage..i have now decided to go brown =)

I love my hair blonde, even though it's not that a great colour but it's too much hassle and I decided I wanted a change.

Anyway I want to go brown, I am a natural light brown/dark blonde but have used blonde permanents and was just wondering if this is OK to do at home. ie it won't go a weird colour or something because im not too sure.

A reply would be greatly appreciated!

It may turn out darker then you want it too when you first do it. because blonde hair is kind of porous from the bleach,it grabs color and holds it fast. So,even using a light brown dye may make it look rather black-looking at first.
Also, depending on the color blonde you have, you are going to have to add some red back into your hair.If your hair is as blonde as a banana peel~not adding red could turn it greenish.
My advice is to use a either a light GOLDEN brown,or a light REDDISH brown.
Even these may still seem too dark at first, but dont worry, the color fades pretty quickly and be noticably lighter in a week.

You may even want to go to a DARKER Blonde first. That way you can still have the blonde color you like without the hassle of as noticable roots and less damage.

Let me make a suggestion.  I would go back brown in stages.  Last October, I went from light blonde back to my natural color of medium brown and HATED it--even though I like pics of myself with my natural brown hair.  You do have to be careful to add back in gold.  I might try a dark golden blonde first and then slowly work my way back darker to get used to it.
