URL: https://talk.hairboutique.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=56705 Printed Date: July 27 2025 at 3:23am Topic: Burning off split ends Posted By: aussiemama Subject: Burning off split ends Date Posted: September 24 2007 at 5:14pm I don't touch my hair with scissors at all, so trimming is not an option for me.  Recently I have found out that split ends can be burnt off.  Normally I don't get split ends, but pregnancy gave me a heap.  I am wanting to know if anyone else knows about burning off split ends with a candle and if salons actually do it for you.  I was thinking maybe an African-American salon might be able to since when they do those braids and then burn the ends together. I would think burning your hair would be every bad for the ends!  EEK...I have burned mine by accident before and the ends looked awful.
