Date Posted: May 08 2002 at 3:38pm Maybe it`s just me. But last night I was brushing my hair and noticed that it`s significantly lighter on the underside. My hair is medium brown, but on the side that`s never exposed to the sun, it has a really nice golden tint to it. So much brighter, in fact, I`m going to start using a side part when pulling my hair back so the hair that`s usually hidden is on top. Why I noticed this just last night and not any other time during the last 21 years is anyone`s guess, but better late than never. My question: does anyone know why hair that never sees the sun would be lighter than the hair on top? And has anyone noticed this about their own hair?
