OK ladies...this will be a looooong post:

So on Friday I came home from work early and went to work on my hair...
I dyed the extensions again with a mocha color and a 10 developer.  Then I dyed my own hair...Unfortunately the extensions turned out the desired color while my hair just turned out darker, except at the roots...Probablly because I have so many different dyes in my hair though...

Anyhow once I was done with the whole dying project I moved on to the extensions...I sewed 2 seperate wefts to make each of them quadruple wefts the night before...I used a sample of the ESG that AMM sent me that has a teeny itty bitty weft (any chance of getting those wefts on the Elite Asian remy Amm?)  So the wefts didnt turn out too bulky.

I am happy with Amm's Elite Remy...It is really really soft and blowdrying is now a breeze!

I used that Vapon tape from Sallys with a tad of LG spread out onto the side that would be attached to the scalp...I found that the tape did not want to stick to the weft until I heated it up with my straightening iron...then it was perfect!

I attached the wefts higher than I ever have...the first weft is about three inches above the nape of my neck...and the next one is right above it...I must say I do find these wefts quite comfy...I made them much shorter as well...they are probablly about 7 inches long...that way when I pull my hair back there is no bulge...

Then I moved onto TT....

CAN I JUST SAY THAT TIFFANY IS A F*ING GENIUS!  I mean I really thought that this was going to be so much harder...and once I started I just could not stop...at one point I was doing the bonds and I was talking on the phone simultaneously!  I could not believe how easy it was!  Once I started I could not stop!  I did two rows on each side and one in the back...Overall I have about 15 bonds...Not too much but it works for what I need it to do...As soon as I finished I started playing with the hair and putting it up in a pony tail and saw how easy it was to hide the bonds even with a really high ponytail...however the hair is so heavy that I cannot have it in a high ponytail!

Now the Cons:

Amms Hair: My only issue with it is I did notice the ends are a bit on the dryer side, which doesn't really bother me since I am cutting the hair anyhow..but I did notice that since my install on Friday, (I still have not washed my hair) the hair has gotten dryer...Can anyone recommend a good deep conditioner product that they really like for the hair?  AMM?  It does tangle a bit more when washing...but only because it is find I think...it doesn't get those obnoxious knots like the FR did...

Tiffany Twist:  The only comment I can make is my heater unfortunately did have an extremely strong fishy smell but only while it was heating up...once I started working with the hair, I did not notice any smell at all.  I like that faint smell that the Tempbond has...it actually smelled a little bit like grape to me...

I really am happy with this install!  I think the combo install is ideal for me!  This is my first time wearing individuals and they definitley wear differently!   When I moved my head I thought they were falling out...but they were just moving naturally...I am extremely happy with this install!  Plus I just realized when I am ready for my next install...I can buy bulk hair which is sooo much cheaper!  I figure as long as I take care of the wefts (which is the bulk of my install) they can last me at least 6 months just like the FR did...and for the TT I can just use bulk hair...

I thought of maybe adding some rows of TT to the bottom of my head...but I really think there is enough hair right now!

I am trying to post my pics but they do not want to show up on my work computer!!! I will continue to try though, I shall not giv up!

I am going get my haircut today to get more layers and give it more style!
I must say this is the best install yet!

All together with dying, straightening, installing and styling it took me about 3 hours...Not bad I think!

Not to rain on your parade...but if you like your install, be sure not to blow-dry your TT bonds with regular to high heat...you will lose every single one and have waxy residue on your hair and hands.

Thanks for the hint...I am already aware of that...

cute! We took several inches off...but it looks soo natural and chic! I love it!

Here's the problems:

While she was brushing out the hair a few of my TT bonds came out
... She felt so horrible for the hair coming out...I had to convince her that it wasn't her fault...Then my bottom weft came undone...So right now I am walking around with my usual safety pin fix...

I think I will fix the weft tommorrow...and maybe I will have a chance to put some more TT bonds in...I am not sure why they came out...but it was my first time so I am ok with it...I had the heater on the wax setting, so this time I will increase the heat...we'll see...But anyhow here are the install pics and yesterday's new haircut pics...

This is a pic of all the hair that I was installing:
The far left and middle are Amm's Elite Remy, on the right is the ESG...that hair really really is amazing!

Anyhow once I was done with the whole dying project I moved on to the extensions
I am not sure why they came out

As I understand, you dyed your own hair and did the install the same day.

Some color products contains a lot of conditioner, and some pigments make the hair swell up temporary.

That could be 1 of the reasons they are sliding, or not attach well.

I would recommend to dye 24 hours before an install.

The day of install I would shampoo my own hair and the attachment areas of the wefts and the extensions to wash the conditioner and the remains of the pigments out.

Clap Great pictures

thanks for the hints!  I don;t think that's why they slid out though...i have done installs the same day as dying them many times...it's just sometimes the tape like my head...and sometimes it doesnt! Tongue

Whoa! Very nice!! Your hair is a great length to blend with extensions.
That last picturekiss is HOT!

The very first bond looks like you took too much hair, from your own head, from right to left. Do you know what I mean? Is it possible to do smaller
bonds?

I love the color too! You nailed it girl!!

Very pretty. Mal's right. The color is a perfect match. It looks like your own hair, very natural. You did a great job girlClap
Can you show a pic with a completed row of the TT? I'd like to see your sectioning. You want to section your hair a little neater. You want to make sure that your hair isn't going to be pulled out when you brush it because of the crosshairs. Cali-Kristin has free demos that can help you obtain an even part. http://yourhairshop.com/ - http://yourhairshop.com/

Mal thanks for the compliments!!!
I think it was too big...they got smaller as i went...I learned...

Honey: You know I don't think the sectioning is the problem at all..I had very minimal cross hairs...and it they did get caught in the bond...I just pulled it out..it is much easier to pull it out than it is with LG...
I am going to put some more TT in tommorrow so I will take some more pics of my sectioning then..
