I got my hair done. It is now bright yellow and patchy with a bluey/green tinge in places. Its all frazzled in the top section. My scalp is sore. I paid £100 for this.

It was my normal hairdresser. I’ve been going to her for nearly 10 years. She knew all my history - what has been put on my hair recently.

I told her I wanted it back to how I used to have it - a nice whitey blond highlighted colour.
She said she couldn’t just highlight it, it’s too short and not brilliant condition.
So she put this colour on that she said would be a lovely light blond colour and nice and gentle on my hair. To cut a long story short I could tell she ‘panicked’ several times during the process as she put two toners in and a bleach wash. She had to keep cutting at some of the ends. I cried a bit at one point. I was there over 4 hours and I didn’t quibble about money or anything in the end as I just wanted to get out of there.

I am really upset. I kind of want to get a kit from boots and try to cover it all up with a brown colour again, but I’m scared it will go some really freaky colour because of the condition etc. What shall I do? Has anyone got any advice?, I would really appreciate it.

Really your hairdresser is the one who should correct her mistake so you should go back and have her correct it. In the meantime get a really good conditioner and condition, condition, condition.
If you do want to do something yourself go with a semi-permanent colour as it will be easier on your hair.
