What do you feel more comfortable using shampoos or natural cleansers such as baking soda, apple cider vinegar and the like. I use castile soap which is a natural soap that lather just like shampoo and isn't too drying to the scalp. I'd like to know what methods othe hairboutique members use.

ACV and baking soda work well.

Do you use them together or separately because I know mixing a base and an acid together, probably will cancel each other out.

i use castile soap, black soap and i also mix shikakai powder and aritha powder ( make a paste, apply it, sit under the dryer for a half hour and rinse)- very cleansing and softens my hair.
