I have colored my hair and am growing it out.  It's quite long and I would like to cut it (get rid of most of the previous color - there will still be some) before I re-color it.  Can I cut my hair before I color it?

Sure...I always cut before I color.

Did you wait any length of time before coloring after you cut it?  I've heard that because your ends are porus - that's why a lot of times people color then cut.

I've never had a problem with that...but, I suppose that makes sense. I would say if your hair is already porous and/or damaged/fine texture then I would color then cut.
