I have been wolfing my hair over 5-6 weeks and have no problem laying my hair down. I want to space out my waves (Yes I was able to space out my waves about a lil under an inch, I have pics to prove it), so I plan to wolf over 10 weeks. Since I am affiliated with the military I am required to wear a cover (hat), with constantly messes up my hair on a regular basin. I decided I want to use Murray's pomade after reading reviews and getting helpful info from J kid, Disco, etc. The question I have is will the pomade just harden my hair and I will keep the same progress or can I continue to progress if I can maintain my brushing? I never used pomade before so I am just curious.

Can't you wear a wave cap under the hat?

no Its not uniform, plus my hat isn't as big as J kid. When I try to roll up the wave cap it falls off. But when the winter comes I will use the king cash method under a skull cap.

Yes constantly brush while wolfin, your waves strecthed out a little bit but chances are thats over with it will most likely stretch no further, now you should be wolfing to fill in your new wave size with depth and I seen a question earlier it was which is better Dax vs. Murrays vs. Sportin Waves Gold and most people said Sportin Waves Gold including Poppinz who is a very reliable source.

Yeah I'm reading that post on 360 as we speak. I just don't like that stuff to run on me if I get it wet. I am not worried about getting the Murray's out of my hair because I have a solid washing method. As for my waves being stretch out, they have shrunk or develeped more waves  inside the bigger waves. The longer hair is the deep it gets and when I get a cut I have these long spaces in my waves

I used Murrays when I first started waving.  It is a really thick pomade and it's hard to wash out.  But it does have virtue.  It was my pomade of choice when I used Ced Clark's compression method.  It helped me gain full 360 connection because of it's ability to provide strong hold.  But, once I achieved full 360's, I started mixing Murrays with Royal Crown to lessen the pomade's thickness.  After that, and trying different pomades, I choose LJOT as my product of choice.  Murrays is okay for beginning wavers, but isn't necessary for established wavers.  I would say, stick with lighter products and increase your brushing frequency.

Thanks wc. The problem is the that I can't carry a brush with me. So I need the hold. Plus I hate having my hair short hair because I like deep waves. Its not hard to maintain if nothing touches my hair because it trained very well.

Yes that works as well G-money but the best way to find out though is through trial and error it's like when I told you I get ATG cuts and you ended up getting one and you realized it wasn't the cut for you, in my opinion though it sounds like you know what your doing with that stuff and what pomade are you using now by the way?

Well J I'm still using my nutri grow. I been trying to get a ride to Burlington (between noon-5pm) for about 2-3 week. I been using only one wave cap because that clefto stole my other one. So I am hurting, well not really I just cannot compress my hair as well. But tomorrow at 1330hrs I going to Sally's. I already put in for leave and wrote a OP Order (I know, gay right!!!!!), because these boys wanted me to do it to be funny. I am going to pick up some wave caps and a jar of Murray's. I swear I'm going to be so mad if they don't have that stuff there. Then again, I really would not be that surprised.

Okay people I finally bought some murray's. Will this method work??? Get out of the shower, brush, add hair oil, brush, add pomade, brush, durag, and go to sleep. Before I would have got out the shower, brush, add hair oil, brush, durag, and go to sleep.
