The measurement are approximations. Exact guard sizes differ due to clipper manufacturer specifications. A+

Andis guards:
No. 0 - 1/16" - 1.5mm
No. 1 - 1/8" - 3mm
No. 2 - 1/4" - 6mm
No. 3 - 3/8" - 10mm
No. 4 - 1/2" - 13mm
with my kit it jumps to No. 6 guard then No. 8 guard
No. 6 - 3/4" - 19mm
No. 8 - 1" - 25mm

This is a great and very informative post if you decide to use a guard on your own head or if your barber is not sure. It will be locked and left in this new forum for anyone looking for great info. Thanks to all who posted the info. Great stuff.
