Hi everyone I've been lurking for awhile now and I have a few questions.

First off I have a very mixed hertiage so my hair is fine, thin, and kincky.  Yeah I know a mess Dead.

Anyways I've tried tree-braids (which are good but sheds easily), swen-in (which is really lumpy), and glue (which I would like to stop since my hair is really thin).

I am looking for a inexpensive hair extension method that I could do myself.

I have looked up a lot on clip-in's in the forum, and to be honest, I do not understand the directions on how to make them yourself.  Are there any other less damagaing options I could explore?'

edit
I forgot to mention that I'm really active.  Always at the gym and near water.  So I would extentions that hold up to some wear and tear.

can you post some pics of your hair? it is really hard to tell which method would be best, that you would like and would be suited for your hair and lifestyle without some pics.

Also....I would recommend that you experiment with a few different methods to see which you find most comfortable. Try the eurlocks/hairlocs; shrinks; Fusion (all strand by strand methods) or you could try wefts.

Its best if you post pics though....

I always think it's best to go with individuals when your active, I run 4 miles a day so I have to wash the hair everyday, so I don't look like a grease ball, that's just from my experience though!

thanks for the responce :)

I would post photos but I have in a swen-in weave right now so its hard to tell what my hair really looks like.

But thanks for the advice.  I'm going to read more about shrinks, since it seems to cause less damage.

I am very active, and I typically found the wefts with the adhesive tapes (airflex, protac, proflex tapes...) to be the most comfortable, and easy to do myself.  I did not have any trouble putting my hair up, washing, etc. while wearing the tape installs.
I have never really liked wearing strand-by-strand, though- just a personal preference for weft methods for me...

Hey! Welcome! I wore clip ins for a while and they're good and bad. The good part is you can take them out but I would say 7 out of 10 days they were annoying.

Sofia is right, if you can post a picture we can better assist you.
