looks like she is back to the original "POB"
I ALWAYS LIKED THE LONGER BROWN BOB ALOT BETTER ON HER
------------- Long with BLUNT bangs or ALL cut to lip length, I cant decide my favorite!

She's been talking about something 'specia'l with her hair for the Spice Girls reunion. She specifically mentioned that her blond look whilst ok in the sun of California looked a bit luminous in the UK. So the color has changed, can we expect a style change too.
My take is that the Jennifer Aniston look lasted 2-3 years as a fashion and still feeds into a lot of the choppy disconnected styles. Posh has made a similar hair hit and I don't think she will throw this away because as a fashionista this must be huge for her ego. Her original style was far more cutting edge than the current bob though.
I think we need JeryFleas input on this one

I personally like the darker color. The bleach kinda washes her "striking features" out. And she looks more like a real b!tch with the darker color, especially b/c she never smiles. (not that the B!tchy looks is bad on her, its really sexy...GRRR!)
I'll probably get raked over the coals for that comment ...however, I said that SHE looks more like a B!tch, not everone who has that hair color.

I read somewhere that she never smiles because she thinks she looks stupid when she has a smile on her face--something about the shape of the mouth.

I never really paid attention to Victoria before she became the rage with this haircut, which does look good on her. But I came across an old pre-cut photo of her yesterday, and it blew me away. It was simply incredible.
Is anyone else tired of seeing this "pob" cut? So many women are chopping away, and frankly, the stylist must be uber-talented to make this look great, even initially. Yeah, there are some done well, and these can look super for about two to four weeks before they lose shape, and must be re-done. At least the Dorothy Hamill "wedge" cuts looked good growing out, and lasted for several months.
Overall, except for a few who look awesome, like Jenny McCarthy, I'm bored silly with this trend! Bob

There are some really great photos of her before the Pob. Which one did you see? Some of my favorite are these:

I think she has such striking features, that really any hair style would fit her.

Although I usually skip reading Bob S's posts because they are always the same "hate short - love long" thing, I have to agree with him on this one. The "pob" became a serious pandemia and I agree that we had too much of it during 2007. My country is also infected and many women are having this style. It looks good on some women, but it does not look good on others. Personaly I think that bob is a great style, and so is a "pob" as its variation. What boders me in this case is the lack of originality and the fact that many women wear "pob" only because so many other women do. It is time for a trend change :-)

Filip

I still find it very sexy...something about the nape of a women's neck that excites me. Now, if another style comes along and does the same thing then I will be ready for a change but, as for me, I want the POB to stay.

I second loveshorthair's emotion; I too love this trend and hope that it never stops. An exposed nape is a great and wonderful thing.

Not to sound too cruel, but that pick makes it look like if it rained, she would drown!
Even with that nose, she's HOTTTT!

Her length is still extensions even although it's short. She had it almost cropped and blonde for a while then the length suddenly appeared again just before she went dark. Doubt she'll ever grow it out since it would take a while to grow hair that's healthy enough not to snap.

This is a really sexy style, but some people just cannot pull it off. I'm sick of seeing it on every celebrity and every girl walking down the street. What happened to individuality?

It happens all the time. Dorothy Hamill's wedge had women running to the salon to get that haircut; same for the "Rachel" and the "Princess Di." You are right Ally, not everyone can pull it off. My wife wants the "Pob" but with her naturally curly hair, she'd have to flat iron the s&!% out of it everyday to keep it looking good and that's just not good for her hair.
Personally, I love the look.

I like it too,but I agree with ALLY that it's EVERYWHERE. A few years ago when I wore it,it wasnt so common.
That's why I'm growing mine out now...I just dont want a cookie cutter hairstyle.

But there are so many variations; it's been around forever; it's been called a concave bob, A-line, and inverted (I won't call it a "Pob" anymore-that was the last time). Here she is yesterday at the opening of the new Virgin Atlantic terminal at Heathrow. Still awesome!

I agree there are a lot of variations of the _ _ B cut. Personally, I think the extreme long in the front is silly looking. I prefer the slight or rounded cut. I still think the back being shorter is soooo seexxxyyy. Just love the nape of a women.

loveshorthair - I do too. Her front is a little too long here; needs to trim a couple of inches off but overall, I still love it.
Fatmoogas - I think they may have snapped the picture of the back of her head as she was walking away and the longer parts caught the breeze.

i never grow sick of it, i just wish more would have the nape cut with clippers, looks soo much cleaner and makes the nape that much sexier!

I have mixed feelings about this cut. I'm immensely happy that the cut itself prevents any risk of the woman tying her hair into one of those horrible messy buns so popular a few years back, that always looked to me like a form of punishment for the hair. And it does seem to me that this is one of those cuts meant to impress other women by looking sleek than to create an appeal to men.
Still, while I do look twice when I see one (they're suddenly everywhere), I don't really think it adds much allure, and the more extreme the angle of the bob (like in the new Posh pictures) the more you get this weird "wing" effect with the longer hair on the sides moving in the wind, which to me is more bizarre than sexy. One of the bob lovers made the point that the reason the standard bob is sexy is that it swings when the woman moves her head, and I agree. Unfortunately, this cut loses that whole effect.
I predict that in five years this is going to be one of those "What was I thinking?" styles....

By the way, in case anyone's wondering, that vertical tattoo now visible on the back of Posh's neck is Hebrew writing, and it says (translated) "I am my beloved, and my beloved is me," which is a common saying for couples getting married. I have no idea about her religious affiliations or marital status, so draw your own conclusions....
