I left a message before about dying my hair but I was talking to my sister and she mentioned Frosting my hair or i guess its also called highlighting with a cap?? I was reading online that this is a thing of the past?????

Hmm...I dont know about this one.My mom and her friends still do it.
Seems like the newer ways involve just brushing the highlights on and they dont turn out as drastic (white looking) but more natural.
