Well. . .I didn't want to have to post this here because I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt. . .but it has been TWO WEEKS since they charged my credit card and occasionally I get an email (many many days after I send one) saying "uh, oh, sorry, the hair is going out TODAY, I'll send you a tracking number as soon as I get it"

In any case. After two weeks and still NO news I feel pretty clear that it's important to let people know to NOT buy from

Indianhairexport.com
who also go as "Hus & Hovis LLC"

The emails listed on their web page all bounce back, and they never answer their (US) phone number.

I'm going to dispute the charges with my bank and have advised the vendor of this.

sigh. . .live and learn!

Me too, the prices are really good. It appears that they are ordering from India and are making the products per order.

I'm in the midst of a pissy email exchange with them and all I want to know is WHAT IS THE STATUS OF MY ORDER??  I don't like being told "it's going out today" every time I contact them and it never goes out. I'm just not feeling the love!!

I have owned an import & distribution business - I understand delays, minimums, all sorts of stuff - all I'm asking for it honesty and what's going on.

There seems to be only ONE person at work here, and she was like "I'm really sorry but I got married and now it's Diwali (the big Hindu festival) and these orders are hand made." OKAY that is FINE no problem but don't tell me it's going out if all your workers are celebrating and you're on your honeymoon! Just tell me the truth!

Anyway she offered to send me some Indonesian hair "for free" in the meantime. ANd I'm like well if it went out or is going out today why would I need it "in the meantime"???

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

OK I'm going to order again from Bella Donna or Donna Bella whatever they're called. Their blonde hair was absolutely positively rocknroll the best blonde ever (except, OK, I do confess I liked the russian, but it's just so darn expensive).

I don't know if Super Hair Factory has what you want but I placed an order with them on the 5th at 6pm, paid for 2 day air and it came last night on the 7th!  I was stunned.  Usually it takes 3 days at least.  They were super-fast....Thumbs%20Up

There are a LOT of good vendors out there. I've even ordered directly from India and had better customer service.

If you guys decide to go through with this order I pray that it'll be the most gorgeous hair you've ever had. FinaFina, take the free hair girl. Saralee, chin up, if it's good hair it's worth it.
If this hair turns out to be crap and not worth the hassel do the charge back and use someone we've used on HB with an established reputation. It's going to be fine. Try not to freak out. If it gets to be too much do the charge back now and never order from them again. Let your credit card companies deal with them.

Goodness grief, that is very poor customer service. You think your credit information is safe with them? Its always scary finding vendors for anything on the internet. You just never know. Hopefully its just a delay and nothing crazy.

I ordered some temp color from a new place online a while back and same kind of thing. They never charged my card, never replied to emails, never answered their phone! I started to panic because they had my CC info but they just lagged and everything turned out okay. I wont use them again though because of it and they acted like "whats the big deal, chill"

OK OK My feathers are a LITTLE smoothed over. I've continued to email back and forth with the owner of the company and she has continued to reassure me that the hair would go out and now is saying that it DID go out. . . will report again. . .she also said it's normally about a week prep time before they ship it. I said that's all FINE - I just think it's really important to let your customers know what's going on - especially if they've paid you already and don't know anything about the company and emails get bounced back. It can be unnerving. So we'll see. . .

The hair has arrived, do u guys usually wash imported hair before installing it?

I’m not sure. Some on here seem to feel you should always pre-wash hair that has been marketed as "virgin or unprocessed" for the simple reason that if it has not undergone any type of chemical service prior to your install, there is potential for infestation of lice, nits or anything else the hair has come in contact with.

I have never had a problem even when not washing the hair prior to install but it seems that it would not hurt to simply shampoo and condition or at least shampoo. I guess the decision is yours and how you feel about it after a close inspection of the hair upon arrival to you.

I wash all hair I get before I install it for a variety of reasons, but here's the two big ones for me.

  1. I like to make sure that I am putting CLEAN hair on my head. This is not to say that the hair is dirty at all.. But it may have been handled by a number or sources along the way. I'm the same way about certain types of clothing.. I wash them before I wear them..
  2. For curly/wavy textures, I like to see the natural curl pattern. So a good wash and airdry allows me to see the hair in it's most natural state.

The hair can't have lice in it. They don't hang on to the hair once it's been removed from it's food source. There can be nits which are the shells and you would need to remove those if there are any. I've never received hair in that condition, I've been fortunate to buy from vendors who inspect and clean the hair before selling it. Your hair may not have those issues either.
Some hair is shipped with a grape seed or other type of product they use so the hair won't look dry when you receive it so you may want to wash that of.

The 24 is beautiful but the 14 is a little dry on the ends but I think conditioner will do a good job on it!  I'll post pictures of it tomorrow!  Over all I'm happy still waiting to see what the Indonesian hair looks like, I should get that tomorrow also!

I am glad you got your hair, girl! Keep us posted on how it handles. Their prices look good. I noticed on their lace units and closures, they are only slightly higher than some of the Chinese vendors. I am interested to see how you like the hair.
