I dyed my hair with a semi-permanent dye today and I don`t like how it turned out. How long should I wait after washing it out to dye it again?

haha no sorry you can`t shave my head... nothing bad happened to my hair its just the color does not look the way I expected it to (to similar to my natural color) and I would like to try another to see if that one will work out and be a more noticeable change

well if your hair is still in good condition and you used a semi permanent dye, not as harsh and bad as permanent I`d see no problem in dying your hair the next day

Quite honestly it doesn`t matter how long or little you wait...the truth is, your hair will be in the same condition whether you color again tomorrow or next month. Hair is dead, and without cellular turnover there is no way it can repair itself. I can never understand why dye boxes always tell you to wait a week to color again....because it won`t make any difference. None! Your hair won`t repair itself or be in better condition then, no matter how much conditioner you use. Conditioning agents simply make your hair look and feel better--essentially masking the damage--which is fine, but it doesn`t actually repair anything. Nothing can--not protein, not silicone, nothing. I recommend being veeerrrrry careful when dying your hair repeatedly. I`ve overdone it and believe me that`s not a fun road to travel! But if it`s still in relatively good shape you should be all right. I know how maddening it is to have the wrong color hair and have to wait for it to grow out...grrrr. :-)
