I have  a long hair history. I just have one question. I put an light ash brown with 20 vol. delveloper on my hair to cancel out the existing brassy orange tones. It did help alot, however, it is still too orange. In fact, I would like to completely get rid of them to have a neutral brown. Can I recolor with the same ashy light brown, to then cancel out more orange? Or do I need to do something different? thanks

The brown you used wasn't dark enough.  Hair can only be lightened two levels with a single process color, or you'll get the brassy orangey color you describe.  Try one shade darker, and use a demi or a semi if you are coloring over colored hair.  Good luck and I hope this helps.
