Ok....

I have decided that I cant really afford bonded hair extensions and have been looking at clip in ponytails which would be brilliant!

What are the best ones around? Are they always synthetic or can you get real human hair too?

Sorry about all these questions but party season is looming and I want to turn heads Wink

Hi Annette.I dont know much about extensions, but I do wear clip in ponytails alot.
Some places do sell human hair ones but they can be more expensive.A beauty shop around here has human hair ones for about fifty dollars. I'm thinking about getting one though because they are so much softer and probably tangle less.
I'm not sure what brand is the best, but these ponytails are everywhere I go these days, and in a huge variety too.Beauty supply stores, stores that sell wigs and stuff, even saw some at rite aid and CVS!
I have about 5 myself, different syles. Some shorter ones for a more natural look.A curly one,and a super long one for when I want to look really nice.
I get a ton of compliments, and when I tell people it's not my hair they say they had no idea.

i loooove clip on ponytails, i almost always wear them when i go clubbing because it's so easy. they have some ok ones by revlon at sally beauty supply. they also now have some "put on pieces" ones at sally's which i love. i like synth ones because i'm a cheapo, and "put on pieces" and "flawless by danilo" make nice, cute ones. just make sure you get a near-perfect color match!

Hair Sisters has a ton of pony's and really good prices...I posted a picture of one of them I bought a month or so ago....it was really pretty and only around 12.99....some are 9.99. You can't usually find them that cheap even in Sally's and these you can get really long  and trim them to the length you want.
Some colors are hard to find but if you look long enough you can  usually find a color that will work.
I wear them inbetween installs to give my head a rest. LUV THEM!

Me likey.....wish I could find another site other than Hair Sisters that sold them cheap. I would rather have human hair but I keep changing my hair color so that's why I am going for the cheap ones. Trying to build my stock of pony tails, that way I have one for whatever color hair I currently have.

Looks like you found some really good sites....post a picture when you get it!

i just discovered an awesome hair store in the "ghetto". it seems to be run by an asian family, and they have walls and walls of nice ponies for $8-$25. it's like heaven!! so i suggested looking in the yellow pages for beauty supply stores and hair stores where you can get em super cheap (and see them in person nefore you buy!)

Hello everyone
I have bought 2 HUMAN HAIR PONYTAILS from www.lilmissysalons.com and they are fab!!! if you are after one then that is the best place to get it from in the uk or just about anywhere, i think. I searched and searched for one of these babies and the prices were just stupid. Then finally came across this one.
good quality and good value i would say, just to let ya know!!afro

Oh my god, I can’t believe how much you paid for your ponytail hairpieces ….I brought one from Miss Glam Hair
http://www.missglamhair.co.uk - http://www.missglamhair.co.uk called Wild Cat and it is just like real hair but only a fraction of what you paid. Everyone who has seen me wearing it thinks it is my own hair as it is so soft and silky. I am defo going to buy another one. Does anyone have any tips on how to wash synthetic hairpieces? I have worn it over 20 times and although it still looks great my boyfriend is a smoker!

Anyway.. Wanted to add a site/product I love.. I have LOTS of phony ponies and buns.. I had the pleasure of meeting the woman who owns this company.. I LOVE these.. The woman who makes/owns these is awesome and so is her product.. They are AMAZINGLY undetectable!!! She also uses very nice quality hair in the human hair clips..
