Hi everyone !
I haven’t been posting much lately –busy bee, it’s me!- but I keep reading you guys, it’s still fun!!
At the end of last summer I basically started to wear more and more hair and I am now wearing about 8oz of hair!!! It’s huge for someone used to wear 4 oz, trust me!
I wore my last install for 4 months, doing a redo every 5weeks. I still love LG and I find that the bigger bottle of LG is more practical because it has a bigger brush so it goes faster to apply.
I started to organize my install a little better in order to save some time at install and take down. Inspired by Miss Sherrie’s last install pics, I have decided to do some “cleaner rows” (= precise length and similar length for the back and side rows). I used to basically cut a bunch of little wefts for the sides, during install, of different length, depending how I wanted it each time. Same for the back. Nothing very precise and organized So if I wanted to get another set of hair clean and ready instead of going through take down/cleaning/re-install all at once, it was kind of hard for me.
So I tried to cut wefts at precise length –say 2.5 inches or 3 inches for the sides and 6, 7, 8 inches for the back rows- and do double and triple rows when I could –especially in the back- that I sew together, again to save time at take-down and at cleaning.
I also started to write down all this information to keep track of what I am wearing and where.
Because I like to mix three colors -14B, 16 and 24- I also have to keep track of the good color combination for me.
I used to wear mostly 14B and 16 and I went a little lighter this time and put more 24 (lighter blonde), as usual, I like lighter hair when the weather gets gloomy!... I decided to wear my hair a wee bit shorter and took about an inch and a half off of my regular length, long hair is hard to wear when you’re wearing a coat!...but it’s still pretty long!
I still can’t wait to have the $$ to try a weft or two of the russian hair, for now Bohyme is being good to me!...
A quick question: do you guys know a good “gloss treatment” for hair? I know that most of them aren’t that great but there are a few products that keep tempting me… I think there’s one of Clairol, like “happy shine” or some stuff like that…
Oh yeah and one little thing to help you guys wash out the LG residus out of the wefts: let the wefts sink for an hour or two in a little bucket with Goo Gone –my dear product-, the wefts are very easy to clean afterwards, the LG residus are all soft and you just need to rub the wefts a little and clean them with Neutrogena clarifying shampoo. A real time-saver.
So I have now 6 rows in the back and 4 to 6 rows on each sides. So here are my pictures!... So here is before:
This is how much hair I lose after take down, sorry it's kind of gross!

The final result:

And the way one of my last install looked like, my current placement has changed already!
